His culinary creativity took an exciting turn when he met Meg over tacos at Maritime Express. What started as a chance encounter grew into an unbreakable partnership, both in life and business. Together, they’ve built something special—a small business that reflects their shared love for food, community, and each other. With unwavering support and a drive to bring the best to every plate, this dynamic duo is ready to make their mark.

Owner & Executive Chef
Originally from Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Steph is an Indigenous chef with roots in M'Chigeeng First Nation. His passion for food is deeply connected to his heritage, embracing the traditions of using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and honouring the stories behind every dish. Since making the Maritimes his home, he has built a reputation for crafting bold, flavourful creations that celebrate both his roots and his love for innovative cooking.
Currently, Chef Steph is the Executive Chef at Maritime Express Cider Co., where he brings his signature creativity and passion to every plate. Whether he’s curating a gourmet menu, hosting an event, or dreaming up his next big culinary adventure, his dedication to quality and flavor shines through. More than just a chef, he’s a storyteller and a community builder who believes that food has the power to connect people.
Beyond the kitchen, Steph is a proud dad to his son, Christopher, and shares a love for adventure and creativity with his fiancé, Meg.

Originally from Port Colborne, Ontario, Meg made the move to the Maritimes in 2017 and never looked back! She’s the ultimate multitasker, juggling executive assistance, event coordination, and HR like a pro, all while keeping up with her partner, Chef Steph, the mastermind behind the business. As the behind-the-scenes powerhouse, Meg keeps everything running smoothly, from organizing high-profile events to making sure the team is happy and thriving.
Together, Steph and Meg embraced a sober, healthy lifestyle and are thriving in their new chapter, focusing on wellness, balance, and chasing their dreams. With Meg managing the behind-the-scenes magic and their beloved cat, Leo, by their side, this dynamic duo is serving up more than just incredible food, they’re creating experiences to remember!
